I have a 1999 with the 5.4 Triton V-8 and I'm getting 15.2-15.8 mpg. Wish I had a diesel, but I love this truck...plus it's paid for.

Same Truck here too! I get about 13 city/ 16 hwy.

My company truck is the 5.4 triton 2004, 4 wheel drive we get about 15mpg....thats a mix of some hwy but mostly local in the city driving.

I have an 02 ext.cab 4x4 and I am getting 13.5 city if I drive real easy and 16-17 on the hwy - that cruising at 60-65

I was driving a 2001 F-150 4X4 with the Triton in it, and I got 16-16.8 miles to the gallon as an average. That was highway miles mostly, but some driving in town also. That truck also had a K&N air filter that I put in it, and it helped the mileage by just a little. The truck didn't get quite that good mileage before I put the K&N filter in it.
