  i bought a dropzone about 4 weeks ago and it was shooting good till now it is very unconsistant i was shooting 6 a/c/c's arrows at 50 yards and 3 went into a three hit the center of the target and the other 3 were about 5-8 inches from the other three. when i shot the 3 arrows that did not group the rest made a diffrent noise than normal. i can't figure out whats wrong it shoot well sometimes and somtimes it just plain sucks.

I don't think it is your rest per say. it sounds like you may have some torn fletching or some flecthing that is loose. You may also have a couple of bent arrows. Also make sure the rest is nice & tight.

What I would do first is check your arrows for damage, if they turn out ok then I would look at the bow. Check to make sure the rest is not loose & moving on you, check to make sure you have flecthing clearance & proper timing of the rest, and finally paper tune your bow.

Good luck!

is the rest's draw cable served into the buss cable? If so has it slipped?
Check that your rest is dropping at the right time and not at the very last second before it reaches the fletching.

I had a simialr problem...as tomcat said, the cable probably has slipped or moved, altering the drop timing.

DZ's should be attatched to the down cable.....NOT the slide.
They are designed for the pull to BELOW the point where the cord enters the rest housing.....not above it.
Hollowpoint is correct the rest should be attached to the down cable not the slide. Reattach it to the down cable. Still I think the problem is somewhere other than the rest since 3 hit just fine. At 50 yrds a little bit of somthing can turn into a whole lot of off the target.

Good luck.

If you use some underarm spray on the fletching you will be able to see if you are clearing the rest arm or not.
I think 4" before the fletching is kind of marginal. Remember that arrow is moving fast. I usually set mine up so that the arm is completely dropped around the halfway mark of the shaft.
Spray em with deodorant and see if thats it.
As said before though it could be the arrows, but if they spin good, I would bet the fletching is contacting the rest due to fletch orientation...
make sure all your arrows are the same by adjusting your nocks/comparing them.
If all are exactly the same, try the deodorant to check you timing. If its hitting shorten your rests draw cable a bit to drop sooner.

I have both mine setup on the cable slide, I have found it is smoother on the draw(less jerky on the arrow as it draws) and a LOT easier to setup/adjust.
This also eliminates the slipping issue.

Simply get a Bowtech cable slide and thread the cord thru the existing hole(made for this exact purpose) or buy a NAP cable slide and clamp it using the anchor screw.
It will not move, and it's kinda hard to tell if the cord moves when its served into the cable. PLUS as bonus...the cable slide method works with Winners Choice X coat cables...without having to serve it alongside the cable and risking it slipping.
