I don't think it is your rest per say. it sounds like you may have some torn fletching or some flecthing that is loose. You may also have a couple of bent arrows. Also make sure the rest is nice & tight.
What I would do first is check your arrows for damage, if they turn out ok then I would look at the bow. Check to make sure the rest is not loose & moving on you, check to make sure you have flecthing clearance & proper timing of the rest, and finally paper tune your bow.
