I shot this mature 8 pointer (7 1/2 yr) this past season and asked my son to drop it off at our taxidermist for an english mount, because the bone wasn't large enough in my opinion then for a full shoulder mount. Well, my son brought it home last week and I was totally surprised that he and his brother decided that it was too good just for an english mount. No doubt, I was real pleased that they thought enough of ol' Dad to lay the extra $$ down. Those kids aren't so bad after all.
Oh, I failed to mention that the rack was put on a different cape because I had already dispatched the skull and cape I actually shot.

Well I couldn't just let a buck that pretty go without a proper mount. I'm glad it turned out so well. It was the least I could do to say thanks to my dad for all he's done for me. Thanks Dad and congrats on a great buck. He'd look real good in a trophy room.
