When putting carbon inserts into aluminum shafts, should i use hot melt glue or epoxy ?

I would use Powerbond because there is no mixing and it holds like epoxy. If I didn't have Powerbond I would use a slow cure epoxy.

If you use powerbond, leave the nock off until cured (powerbond expands on curing and once in a great while you can split a shaft if the nock is too tight). I suggest 24 hour epoxy, and never, and I mean never, use hot melt.

I use goat tuff glue myself

I used powerbond until my bottle turned into powerfailure and my inserts started coming out...
