Acetone used in some nail polish remover (it will say on the bottle)...Think a lot of them still use it and it's available at your grocery store or if you are married, its in the cabinte under the sink on the left lol!

If you are fletching arrows I would go with alchol not the drinking kind well maybe the drinking kind but you wont be able to use that on the arrows.

Nail-polish remover does contain acetone but it is a dilute solution and it contains a light oil -- so don't use it on arrows or the fletchings won't adhere well.

You can get acetone at Wallyworld or hardware store...right next to the Denatured Alcohol or MEK which both work better anyways.

You can buy it by the quart or by the gallon at Home Depot. or at Lowes and its pure acetone.

I use acetone on my ACC shafts then use FlexBond with Flex Fletch vanes - never had one come off.

I use Acetone to remove fletching and glue residue , then wipe clean with 99.5% isophyl Alcohol. Seems acetone will leave a film , and glue may not adhere as well sometimes

I picked up a quart (I believe) of Denatured Alcohol which I think works better for about $5 and that is more than I think I'll ever use fletching arrows or preping limbs and risers for stick ons.
