Hey guys, I'm thinking of getting a recurve. What is a decent bow for a few hundred bucks? What kind of things should I be looking at as far as recurves go? I have grown tired of my compound and I would like to "learn" to shoot instinctively. Thank you in advance for your advice

The last two years, I have been hunting with compound. Before that I went 18 years shooting Recurves and longbows strictly. Now I shoot both.

I have grown fond of Black Widows. That is all I shoot anymore. A used one will set you back about $600 or a new one just under $1000.00. Some other good recurves are Morrison, and Robertson. If you want to go new, The Hoyt Gamemaster or one of the Martins are good bang for the buck. The Martin Hunter is hard to beat at any price.

You can find used recurves for sale at Tradgang.com

Good luck and enjoy the journey!
