Here's a few pics of a buck I have no history with. I just gained permission to hunt this piece of land last year. I took 3 does and had a few shot opportunities at smaller bucks but elected to let them go as I am the only person hunting this piece, I knew they'd make it so long as they didn't get hit by a car. I pulled my card out of my trail cam this afternoon and on my digital camera it looked to be a good buck. When I got home and blew the pics up on the computer, I started to have a dilemma. I'm not quite sure how old this buck is. I can put him at 3 years old for sure but not entirely sold on 4 years old. 4 to me means he's ripe for picking and 3 means he gets at least another year. What say you folks?

Is he just a 3 year old with good genetics that deserves another year or two or is he ready to receive a shaft through the lungs? I love, love, love his curled tines and his left G3.

And heres another pic of a nice 2 year old with short tines. Hope he adds length with age:
