Hey all,

Anyone ever try all white arrows? I've been shooting 7" fade orange/white and 4" all white wraps for the added visibility. After a thread mentioning using spray paint for cresting instead of wraps, I thought why not make all white arrows? I was thinking maybe some all white arrows with some barred feathers and black nocks would look pretty cool and I should be able to see them both in flight and on the ground.

Anyone try it?

Thanks,
Rick

I thought he shot the zebrastripe GT's?

I did think of that option too. Start all white and use some black, brown, or olive to break it up a little bit.

I'd really like to see pictures if anyone has some.

thanks,
rick

I spray a 7" crest white and use a white or orange turbonock. I have had good luck following the arrows in flight, but I can't find them in the grass or woods on a miss. I thought white would stand out like a turd in a punchbowl:eek: , but no such luck:cry: . I have lost several while screwing around at 70-80-90 yards.

hmmm, I was looking to spray them because I also use turbo nocks and when they go through the target or hail bail the turbo nock gets left behind and I have to hunt the woods for all black arrow.

Hows the white not stand out? maybe yellow spray paint better?

Skip,

That was my thought too. I have sprayed a bunch of graphite fishing rod blanks before I've built them and it works pretty well. Aerosol automotive touch up paint from the auto parts store works really well. It has a smooth gloss finish and goes on pretty easily. If you go in light coats you can get really thin coats.

I was thinking of going all white for fall season, then once winter came around some 'other' color that shows up.

Thanks,
Rick

Hey pingstar.
A simple way to solve you problem with the TURBO NOCKS popping off when you target shoot with them is to glue them in with fletching glue. this usually keeps them on and stops the arrow from passing through the target.
you can push a turbo backwards out of a target without hurting it.

Spray paint works great...But I suggest you only do this if you are using a drop away rest because it can cause some drag...

Cast by fly will not retrun my PM's

I have sent multiple PM's to Cast by fly and he will not return them. I agreed to make a trade with him on a sight, he got mine and so far I have received nothing. There is no reason for Cast by fly not to return my PM especially if he started this post yesterday and was cleary using on Archerytalk.

I have given this person a fair chance to come clean. Rick told me he mailed the sight last tuesday, still nothing. I have delivery confirmation that he received my sight last Friday.
