Almost Arrow Proof Target.
I built a 2 foot by 4 foot frame out of 2X4 and attached 3 sheets of 3/4 inch sheet insulation foam.
I like the blue but the only stuff I could get the last time was pink.
I put three vertical lines and four horizontal lines with masking tape for tuning.
In the open squares I placed stick on targets. At the bottom I stapled pictures of hogs.
With a 30 LB. recurve it was fine. No pass-through.
With a 55 LB. compound it’s another story.
After ripping the fletching off 3 arrows it was time to rethink this project.
I found some old conveyer belt from a rock plant. It was 1/2 in thick and needed to be cut with a circular saw. I cut out the piece I needed and screwed it to the back of the target frame.
3 layers of 3/4 inch foam board a 3 1/2 inch air gap and then the conveyer belt.
Nothing has come through …Yet.
I even tried a muzzy MX3, it stopped cold.
Heaver to drag around but works.
Gadget Hood.
What do you mean it’s not broke? I’m going to fix it anyway.
