Nice find, I seen one here in Arizona on the ground one year.Found this in the back yard, e-mailed the locoa archeologist, who go and check locations prior to a road or building being built, Found out there was a Crematorium about 1 mile east from my house back around 3-500 years BC
about 2 miles west there has been lots of artifacts found, the area is fenced off but there is stil the drive by guys at night that dif there
drive by, just like poachers, drive by the property, several bail out with out the vehicle stopping, then picked up later on..
Do you mean what is the area like where he found it? We were walking a planted cornfield in west central, Indiana.Site context?
INCREDIBLE!!!My father collected them mostly in the 60's before they became a protected species. The farms along the river where he found a lot of them are now refuge. I went as a kid with him and found a few of my own later on. Besides the better points I framed after inheriting them, there is another 100+lbs of them in a crate, and I left all the chips at his house in the dirt crawl space. The coffee cans he stored the heads in are another collection of their own. Most of the farms here are gone. What's left will probably never be found. Also have my grandfathers collection he had bought many many years ago.
