Any one ever thought of making a limb driven whammy?

I really like the whammy but everything I read about it makes it sound like its a bear to time... I had one but could not get it to work like I wanted so I sold it now that they have new and improved version what if we took the whammy and converted it to be driven off the bottom limb? Like a Limb driver?
Just kicking around an idea let me know your thoughts!
