Any way to speed up 09 Iceman???

I have a 09 diamond Iceman. Great shooting. Took it in to check speed.
Bow has the original silencers on it.
Speed was 250/ sec

Tested with both arrows and was a 2 feet / sec difference.


I am using the following:
09 Bowtech Iceman RH 60 27 DL
QAD Ultra Rest Pro
Cobra 3 pin site, S Coil
Rad Super D Peep site, Alpine softloc 5 arrow quiver
gold tip XT Hunter 5575 / Beman ICS Hunter 400,
100 gr Spitfire

I would say see if you can get away with a liter arrow. I also have a 27' draw I shoot at 64 lbs and I went from 237 to 258 fps. from switching from Carbon Express Terminators to Carbon Tech white tails with a blazer vain My Trx32 has an Ibo speed of 305 so I have to believe your bow will crush that in the speed catagory. I also use a drop away rest at the momment if that helps. I think switching arrows also tightened up my groups a bit and I shoot bullet holes through the paper.

You might try a easton lightspeed 400 at 7.4 gpi , cut to 26.25 in length, or a carbon express maxima 250 at 7.3 gpi.

Thoughts

I have a black ice and this is what gained me some speed. No idea how much but I can tell it's faster. It's not a blazing fast bow to begin with but these could be options.

1. Lighter arrows. Went from gold tip 5575 to maxima 250
2. Got rid of peep and went to anchor sight
3. Took off string leeches and got a mean v.

Its right where it should be. My Marquis 60lbs 29" DL 396gr arrow 270fps. As long as it and you are accurate that bow will harvest anything you like in North America. There a lot to be said for a silent accurate forgiving bow.
