wondering if anyone has tryed the s40 with the simple sniper and what they thought of it thanks

on a S40 yes. The only board that supports the fast hack is the Yeti. On 4 wire hack cameras I think you must remove a resister

So can you use the 4th wire and do the lens extension hack or are there only the 3 wires?

On the SS board if you use a S40 you can only use a 3 wire hack. On some camera like the Nikon L11 where you need a 4 wire hack to use the SS board you remove a resister so you have 2 different commons

It is my udnerstanding

that the SS board will run any 4-wire cam with a slight mod to the board - if you are at all uneasy a quick call to Gary will clear up any issues...

i dont run the fast hack because the extra speed isnt necessary.

4 wire lens hack with yeti board make the camera little faster and the lens have less noise, other 4 wire hack is for The refresh wire and 3 wire hack just shutter, power, ground

i did 3 wire hack with external power for you(have 4 wire because of external wire)
