I have done it every year, and, big suprise, I have never been drawn.

Anybody else here applied yet? Know anyone who has been drawn?

I think it would be absolutely awesome.

Also, I think you can hunt them anywhere regardless if it is private land. Is that true?

I put in the first couple years, but haven't bothered since I saw the number of people that put in applications.
If it weren't for bad luck, I would have no luck at all, so I haven't tried since then.

A co-worker's friend or co-worker's friend's brother, one of those, drew a bull tag a year or 2 ago and harvested a decent sized bull.

Any PA hunters out there that have there book that comes with the license from like 3 years ago with the huge elk on the front with a guy next to it. That is my cousin and he told his son he was going to send for it and his son said said there is no way we will get picked. the dad sent his and his son did not and he got picked and shot a huge 8x7 so never say never

If it is worth anything, PA does the points thing... Since you probably won't get picked, maybe just get the points????

Tax Lawyer, Private land is private land... You need permission. Some guys out there want the elk GONE, and will let you hunt. Others feel that they are THEIR elk... You know how it goes...

Yeah, I actually thought about doing that just to get the points, BUT, if I send this year I'd bet my life I'd get a coveted bull tag simply because I already know I can't get the days off lol

Its only work, you were looking when you found your current job, right?

Seriously thats how my luck runs too. I havent sent my tag in, but if you are lucky enough to draw a bull tag, all the bulls are trophys.
