do they take pics at 7x or 8x or 10x or whatever the bino is. 8x or whatever is a lot of magnification for a picture. i am looking at a meade captureview. thanks for your input.

They take pictures at the same power as the binos are. Be sure to buy a high quality pair. I have the bushnell captureview with the basic 0.3 megapixel lens and it is very hard to get a clear picture even at close ranges. Buy the 2 mp or the 3 mp style and you will get good pics.

RE: Binocam

I have the Simmons CaptureView. It is 3.1 mp. It takes decent pictures and will also do 90 seconds of video. I'll try to post pictures later, but I do have some of two small bucks fighting.

To me the pictures seem to be not magnified, but then again maybe they are.

I have a pair by Gallieo and they take magnified pictures but the closeups seem to get distorted some. Out past about 50 yds they do a great job. Here's a couple.
