I hadn't even really heard of it until I went to the American Wilderness Leardership School.
Thinking about joining though because I'm working for SCI at AWLS and seeing first hand at the good SCI does.
And now if you join you get 50 bucks from Cabelas after a 55 dollar membership! Thats pretty sweet!

Have been for almost ten years its money well spent they are the only organization soley for hunters funded by hunters. They do great humanitarion (sp) work in underdeveloped countries.Every hunter should belong. But then again i think if you bowhunt you should belong to your states bowhunting organization.

I was, but I just couldn't justify the money for what I got. now let me justify that remark. I hunt whitetails more than anything. they put out a great magazine and the like, but it covered more animals that I don't hunt than do. I do support my local and state hunters for the hungry and bowhunters associations though. that is where my sci money is going now.

Yeah I really like what they do, the part about teaching non-hunters and even anti's about hunting and shooting and even the outdoors in general:wink:
