Looks like i'm on my own. I'm gonna do this once so it goes to the top and I won't push it up there again.

I like the idea. However, “ requires 22.5” or 24” truck tire”. So is that like a 285-16 pick up truck tire or a semi-truck tire that is required?

I'll give you a push.

I have never used a capsule feeder but I do like the idea, having it on the ground will make filling a breeze and it looks to be sturdy and well built. The problems and potential problems I see are the tire, that would me a minor hassle but a pain none the less, the price point is at the upper end for feeders, and they have taken a time tested design, flipped it upside down, and added some more mechanical parts that have failure potential.

Youtube has some videos about Capsule feeders you may want to check out.

Lots of problems with the capsules is what I hear. Check out Academy Sports. They got a stand and fill that's varmint proof for around $400. The protein feeder is a little cheaper I think.

Thanks guys. I was hoping to hear that for the price it would be a once a life purchase, but that's not what I'm hearing. Appreciate the feedback.

I have a Capsule 800# feeder; it's been in use for 7+ years non-stop dispensing corn every 4 hours. The only issue I've had with the feeder is the spinner plate fits over a hex shaft above the auger. The spinner plate is thin and the hex hole became a round hole over years of use - it stopped flinging the corn - the corn would just roll off the sides of the feeder but it kept feeding. I tack-welded the end of a socket (that fits over the hex shaft) in the middle of the spinner plate - back to flinging corn.

I've had numerous other feeders before I got the Capsule feeder. None of the other feeders held up to the bear that visit my feeder.

I own four (3 Capsule-100 and 1 Capsule-200). My first (Capsule-100) was carried off by a huge black bear and went missing for over a year. The second (Capsule-200) was also carried off by a bear and found 150 yards away still full of corn. All now have the bear proof cages on them. However, the bear still managed to tip them over. All are also locked and chained to a tree to avoid being carried off. Now the good part: I love not having to carry a ladder into the field to fill my feeders. All are easy to fill and work reliably.

Obviously, since the thread is 3 years old, they were/are not very popular. Was a terrible marketing sales pitch: who gets under a barrel, to start with. Buy a winch and lower it, is what I do. As for this gimmick in the picture, I see:
1) hogs are not going to step aside until it is tore up.
2) doesn’t look **** proof(too big of openings)
3) going to take more power/energy to lift the feed than a gravity type.
