Just MAKE your own.Hi all. Anyone know if a US company sells these targets?
http://www.thelongbowshop.com/products/Target-foam-90cm-Deluxe.html
This company and another UK company are about all I've found and they won't ship to the US due to cost (yeah I know if you add one to your cart it will actually allow you to select to ship it out of the UK, but after a couple emails, they said it's a glitch). I'm looking to set one up in my basement and want something that will be able to take a lot of arrows at a short distance (blank baling), is easily fixed.
Or if not, maybe someone knows where I can get the type of foam that they use in them and I could make one myself?
Thanks.
Plywood plate on top.
Plywood plate on bottom.
Strips of 2x4 blocking on the top plate and bottom plate.
LONG threaded rod.
For the sheets, just use cardboard (for indoors).
For the sheets, just use strips of carpet (for outdoors).
Adjust the compression to match the power of your arrows.
If you really want foam,
you are looking for open cell Ethafoam.
Sometimes,
folks wil use sheets of solid foam insulation (look at any major big box hardware store).
Cardboard is the cheapest way to go.
I recommend sheets of carboard, installed VERTICALLY.
MAKE the plywood plates double thick for stiffess
and
put the plates VERTICALLY on the left and right.
They,
run your threaded rod at the very TOP and the very BOTTOM,
and compress the plates
to squeeze the cardboard sheets together.
