I was driving by a field near my house and when I looked out I noticed about 3 or 4 does standing in the field. It was kinda dark so I couldn't see REALLY well, but I noticed a few much smaller things in the field near the does. Sure enough I turned around and there were about 5 or 6 fawns around the does. This struck me as kinda odd. I usually see does dropping fawns much later in the spring / early summer. I guess these ladies must have rutted in late september / early october. I hope it doesn't get too cold again here in march or those little guys might not make it.
Anyone else seeing anything?
