Just wondered if anyone just hooked the deer up to their safety harness strap and used the chest straps to help pull the deer out of the woods? I hope you understand what I am saying. (tie rope to deer, then end to back strap on harness)

I have done that but for some reason it just didn't work out as well as I thought it would. I had to lean way forward to drag the deer and it just didnt work like I'd hoped. I do cary a strap from an old harness that makes a loop around a doe(s) neck and it seems to work okay. Does not cut into my hand like a rope does. I weigh less than 200# so perhaps that would have worked out better for me if I were heavier.
Big believer in the HSS deer drag/suspension relief strap. That is until I had to drag one 150 yards across newly cut pine rows.
Talk about your abrupt stops and starts! I finally want back to holding on to the horns.
Yep my Buddy and I haulled out the 300 lb bear I shot the other night and we used our deer drags. Worked nice of course I couldn't have done it without my buddy. His quad was at home so we did it the hard and rewariding way...LOL
The HSS drags work okay for small deer, but be careful dragging anything very heavy... the leg straps will make your voice a few notes higher, if you know what I mean!
