went to a sporting goods store today and was looking at the big dog ladder and hang on stand,they were very nice looking stands for the money,the one thing i really liked about the hang on was it had two seperate straps holding it to the tree,anyone used these before?????

I got one of the padded hangers @ Menard's for $60. You get what you pay for, I guess. Really thin gauge tubing that starts bending before I felt screws were tight, the vee bracket that locates to the tree splayed out completely while tightening rachet strap and, tight as I dared to go, slipped down the tree I mounted it to 1 ft. off the ground under my svelte 230#, even tho "supposedly" rated to 300#. Might be fine for a kid or small gal, but mine's back in the box & going back.
