So I’ve searched up and down google and only have found a few cheap generic vinyl limb skins for a compound bow... There’s tons for the traditional bows. I have this stuff called GearSkins left over from a project... Does anyone see a problem with applying this to the limbs? It’s essential a thin vinyl with a camo pattern on it. Idea would be to wrap the inside and outside of the limbs and leave the riser as is. Please advise! I know the limbs are a sensitive and precise piece of the puzzle, but still people stick all these rubber lime green limb silencers thingy bobs on their limbs. What’s the difference in putting on this gearskin on. Thank you in advance for all you help!

I'm also interested in finding out about vinyl or plastic skins. Let us know what you find out please.
I would love to hav reported back my findings by now, but unfortunately my local shop has my bow trying to get it restrung. I dropped it off 2/13 and got it back on 3/10 took 100 shots out of it and it needed a whole new set of strings and cables. Got the other set and shot another 100 through it, and now it will be on it forth string since January when I bought it new. So I haven’t wanted to invest the time in sizing and cutti the vyinal, and cleaning the limbs, etc, etc. Once this bow is up and running and I’m satisfied I’ll definitely let you know how it worked out and include pictures. Thanks for the responses

Quick update on the "applying Vinyl to compound bow limbs"... I got the bow back, after yet another string other than the one that was last mentioned.. and I was attacked by the owner of the bow shop that ruined the other 3 strings, in his shop.. resulting in me filing charges on him.. Crazy right? I know... Ridiculous in one word. I will be doing a complete write up, eventually, on my entry into the archery community, detailing how I got my bow and then the subsequent negative experiences that followed when dealing with an under qualified bow shop, as well as what I have learned from all this. However, on the subject of the vinyl... I have installed in and it looks great. The exact name of the product is GearSkins. I have over 500+ shots on the limbs and the Vinyl looks exactly as it was installed... No cracking, bubbling, etc., I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking to add a personal touch to their bow. The color/pattern options are endless. As for the bow, I will probably be selling it as I hate looking at the thing as a reminder of the way my entry into archery has gone. I have since purchased a Mission Switch and am liking it so far.

I have a Hoyt pro Defiant 34 that I put a "limb wrap" on from onestringer. I then printed off some decals on my own to put on top of them. They have held up very well from shooting, but the press fingers are a little hard on them. Here is what they look like (before any affects of the press). The wrap is the flat black, the "Hoyt" and "pro Defiant" is transfer vinyl that I put on top.
