Does any one have insight into which is more accurate?

I put the same data in both for arrows and bows and get different results in terms of speed and spine compatibility.

Building arrows and it is frustrating trying to figure out which one to roll with.

Any insight would appreciated.

Thanks!

I use archers advantage online. Each take the data and uses it different. I can’t get OT2 to work on my computer so I use AA and have had no trouble building arrows or being to weak.

How much variation?

I can't say how close AA is on spine calculations because spine calculation are always somewhat subjective, but AA is always within a few feet/grains of actual, which is also to be expected because advertised arrow GPI weight and component weight vary somewhat from advertised to actual depending on the model or production run. All of the software is just used for estimating.... finding the "perfect" arrow for a setup will always require a certain amount of trial and error.

OT2 has, since their change to the latest version, been a royal pain in the ........! Recently I have been receiving the error message "License Server Error" "err : 24 : 0". When I close the error message the program closes. I have some 300 plus days remaining on the subscription. Does anyone have any reasonable idea why this is occurring?

This is not the first time I have encountered problems with the new version of OT2. I have purchased the software twice in the past few months in an effort to obtain a working copy. This last one worked for a period, then crashed. I am technically capable; however, I have received no appreciable help with the issues.

I just started using Archers Advantage and it is working all the time. I am not certain it is as robust as OT2 was, but then OT2 cut a significant portion of the features that were available prior to their recent changes. So, Larry Brown, I am with you. AA is going to be just fine by me.

The new version - SFAX -"software for archers xpert" - works great for me (windows version), BUT one big annoyance is that it opens in a small screen box /popup and you cannot make it full screen / maximize it. This makes it harder to work with and see as the font is smaller in order to fit everything in. Why in the world would they design it this way? Hoping for an "upgrade" to look like the old version.

Hello Csalodge.

I sent Pinwheel a message with a screen shot of the error. Haven't heard back yet. That said, the last set of problems didn't leave me with the thought that Pinwheel was going to be much help. I wish them well and I have certainly given their platform a fare shake; but, I would rather be shooting than tinkering with some software issue. So, I am off to AA online. Besides, with the new UNO application, sight tapes are a breeze. AA provides arrow selection and relative spine dynamics that more than satisfy my needs. Good luck with OT2.

He was quick to respond to me but didn’t offer any help really. Told me how to fix but the fix didn’t fix and I am like you I don’t like playing fix the software to when it is supposed to work. Last program I purchased that didn’t work the owner got onto a program called logmein123 and got on my computer remotely and fixed it for me no questions asked. But oh well, when it worked it was awesome, but awesomeness wore off when it wouldn’t work.

Are you guys usin the OT2 software, thats now called SFAX. The old but still works tapes and charts program works but isnt updated anymore..

I was having problems with the old.software and emailed them tbey let.me mnow.SFAX was the new and only software going forward.

I like it ...a lot! Super easy to use, and as long as i put in acurate info my arrow weight and fps is usually within a couple +/- a little.

I used to used the arrow.spine software religiously. But after years, ive starred trusted what my.bow and tuning told me....i found out after trial and error what worked best and is more forgiving with my bow and shooting style...and there usually no where in line what any arrow program says.

Larry,

I heard from OT2 this morning. I must admit, the description of the problem and the possible resolutions were impressive; and, certainly took him sometime to layout. He was willing to take the time to layout possible resolutions, I'll give it another opportunity and let you know how it turns out.

I had this same problem with the same error. After several weeks of screwing around PW sent me a new validation codes for the software and the database. Has been working fine since then but what a waste of time. I don't like the internet validation routine either. I bought the software, I should be able to use it when and where I want.

I have been using OT2 for years and always found it to be a very good program. My only issue with the new version (SFAX) is that you have to be connected to the internet to start the program. Something about validating the license each time, I found this out when I went to my shed to do some work where I don't have internet connections. Larry at PW responded to my email and told me that once I get the verification I won't need the internet connection. Its a small pain but a pain for sure. This might be the same error you are receiving, I'm not sure.

Also, you can make the box bigger by grabbing a corner and expanding it that way.

Good Luck

Sure sounds like AA is the way to go & I have been using it for 10+ years & the only thing that
pi--ed me off was I originally bought the $35.00 package with disc but missed placed the disc
& then all of a sudden it didn't work & now have to buy the yearly $12.00 subscription, as that took place about 3 years ago.

I am using Archers Advantage. Bought the disc several years ago, worked fine. After the Windows newer version came out AA would not update. Bought the AA online version, also received a six month credit for having the old version AA. Updates are automatic, everything works great. Twelve bucks a year is cheap considering the cost of archery items.

I have had OT2 for the last 3 years.... I've never had any of the issues you guys are talking about, are these problems specific to device type (PC/Android/iPhone)? The iPhone app has worked flawlessly for me.
