Went too the shop last night to get my max 250 hunters I was all dead set on cutting them 1 1/4 beyond the rest. But the shop personal which is an experienced archer said he cuts them beyond the risor a 1/2 inch which he believes is better for accuracy and safer so I went with it.I now am second guessing this I just gained 2 more inches of arrow and 16 grains. How far do you guys cut your arrows beyond the rest for hunting?

Arrow length determines spine. Longer is better, if it gets your spine better. The 16 grains you gained is nothing. See how your broadheads fly before you make the call. It really has nothing to do with riser or rest, but everything to do with spine.
