Need advice on arrow rests for traditional wood recurve bows and carbon arrows. There are a lot of arrow rest products out there, but a lot of them are exclusively for compound bows and for trigger releases instead of finger release. For instance, I found out that the drop away rest is only used for compound bows. Even though most traditional archers shoot off the shelf, I would like to have an arrow rest that has a minimal effect on the flight of the arrow, using a finger release.

Plastic Hoyt Super Rest for $2.50

It comes with various thickness foam spacers so you can
get proper centershot. This is you only option
is this is a one piece wooden recurve with no hole for a berger button.

If your shootin' feathers, just get you some thick velcro or the Bear hair.....

The feathers won't mind, and you'll keep the arrow and your hand closer together for a better instinctive "feel".

If you're a gapper, by all means use an elevated rest. Might be able to find a stick on flipper in some archery shops. Great rest for non-cutout risers with or without a berger hole.
