arrow sizes

i bought arrows from my local pro shop they where beman ics hunters. the owner of the shop gave me the 340's. and on bemans chart they show i should be using 400's? what are the advantages/disadvantages of using these arrows. will it effect the performance of my bow? i shoot a darton rc express 70# draw weight with 25.75 length arrows
