I have tested everything from Beman ICS, Carbon Express CX to Maximas, to Gold Tip pro hunters. A lot of it depends on the lot, some lots are better than others, and some are consistently better. Some are more consistent between arrows than within arrows. The best advice I can give you if you are worried about spine consistency is to get a spine tester and sort by spine. RAM makes a great unit. Using a spine tester you can also orient the strong side relative to the stiffest spine which will make more of a different then even 0.01 spine variance within a group. You cannot characterise an entire line of shafts off one lot worth of testing. Any of the better known and reputable brands and makes will work great but to take it to the next level sort and group your arrows by straightness, weight and spine that you measure.
