Would like to see what everyone is using for arrow stops. I was thinking about using horse mats from tractor supply as an emergency stop in my back yard but not sure if that would be good on the arrows or if it would stop them.

i have a couple hay bales behind my target, only needed it for one arrow so far but it stopped it without going all the way through the first bale. i have them sitting on tires to try to make them last longer

Thanks. Think 1 is good enough or will I need to double up on the mats?
1 is plenty

I have mine hanging free. This way if arrows hit it it can swing and dissipate the energy more effectively

I got one at Tractor Supply for the back of my target shed. Arrow hits it, it is not going all the way thru and is not easy to pull.

Yeah I built a stand to suspend a 4x8' horse mat and it stops arrows very well. They pull hard out but that's why it's a backstop and not a target.
