I'm still in a quest for which arrows to get and a question accrued:

Over what length are the given tolerance for arrows? Is there a standard?

.003 isn't the same over one inch vs one foot.

I believe most arrow companies check for spine and straightness over a 28" span. I may be wrong, but that is what I have always heard.
