Hey guys, I have an elk hunt in September and need to know my finished arrow weight to see if they are heavy enough. I have no way to weigh them. The arrows are carbon express maxima hunter 350s cut at 27", 2" blazer vanes and 100 grain slick tricks. No wraps. Anyone have an idea what these will weigh? Thanks:darkbeer:

Well lets give this a try;

Arrows (8.9 grns/in)@ 27"= 240.3 grns
Blazers = 15 grns
Insert/Nocks = 35 grns
Broadheads = 100 grns

total weight = 390.3

Not sure what type of nocks/insert you are using.... But this should be close enough.

I have the same setup but 28" and weight at 415gr. 100gr heads no wraps. Taking off an inch should be 406gr. I guess the extra 16gr comes from glue and the bulldog collar.

FWIW using firenocks I'm at 428gr, with a 125 gr head (and better FOC) 453gr.

I forgot to mention that I have the bulldog collars. I was hoping to be around 400 grains. Should be a good combo of speed and kenetic energy for elk. Thanks again.
