I would get some .500 spine and leave them about 29" to start. When you decide to turn up the poundage, you can cut your arrows shorter. Every 4 pounds you increase poundage will allow you to cut off one inch and allow proper spine. Use hot melt to glue in your inserts (cheap stuff from WM or Target) and when you get ready to cut your arrows, place the points in a pan of boiling water for 15-20 seconds and pull them out with pliers. If you don't have an arrow saw, pull the points and take them to a pro shop and they will cut them for a couple of dollars. You can purchase a used arrow fletching jig on AT classifieds and fletch your arrows and save money by purchasing shafts, and you will be able to try different fletchings and easily repair your own fletchings. I would go with some small diameter arrows to improve penetration combined with a 2 blade heavy broad head like a Magnus Stinger in 150g weight. My wife shoots Victory RIP XV 500 spine with 60 grain inserts and 125g Magnus Stingers 26" at 44 pounds. Learn how to sharpen your blades razor sharp (we use a diamond plate), this is very important, lots of videos on Youtube. Good luck!
