With the purchase of our own "little slice of heaven" a 18 months ago, I am getting much more into habitat management and micro-plots. To that end, I have been saving and shopping for a used ATV to assist in some of the grunt work. Since covid started nearly a year ago, I have seen used ATV prices go up and up and up. The more funds I save, the higher both used and new machines seem to become.....;like the proverbial horse chasing a carrot on a stick. I've seen 2005-08 listed for $300 less than they cost brand new......with thousands of miles of use. 
My preference would be a good used 400cc or larger ATV that I could pay in full, rather than buy new with another monthly payment.....we are currently paying on the acreage as well. A good friend has both a Honda and a Suzuki....both of which have been very dependable for him. I realize Honda has the "name" and reputation, but what about Yamaha, Polaris, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Can-Am, Arctic Cat/Tracker, etc? Your input would be greatly appreciated.
