Hello, I am Joe from PA. I will be doing a whitetail bow hunt in Georgia near Augusta over New Years. I have some questions. Thanks!!!!

Any advice?

What is the weather like this time of year?

With licenses what is the least inexpensive way for me to go?

Am I eligible for an Apprentice Hunting License?

(The Apprentice Hunting License is a 3-day hunting and fishing privilege that does not require completion of a hunter education course.) I am 52 years of age.

Is there any antler restrictions?

Are there any restrictions I should know about?

What other game can I take during this time?

Anything to look out for, or know about?

Thanks!

Joe

Hey Joe,

Check out the Georgia DNR wed site and it will answer most of you questions.
http://georgiawildlife.com/hunting

For the weather well who knows, as of right now it 36 dreg. and has been for a few days along with ALOT of rain. Here in the south it could turn out to be 75 on NYD. I have seen that happen.

Onto your hunting, You need to find a food source of some kind that will be you best be.

Good luck and besafe on your trip.

Joe

Oh yeah its gun season here so you have to wear safety orange vest. ( 500 sq. In )

A vest should be fine, thats all I wear. But it never hurts if you wanna wear the hat.

Good luck and Merry X-Mas
