Anybody have any of the Axcel Driver sights yet? Got one on order but have not had anyone commenting on these. I have not seen any in the shops yet.

I'm working on publishing my review on it. It's a good sight except for the location of the windage knob. They moved it to the scope-side to avoid having to redesign the whole thing or possibly be sued by UV for infringing on a patent they submitted.

So sighting it in for windage is more tedious than just about every other high-end sight, but once you get past that it works well.

Neat sight if you are into the high tech stuff....lots of innovation. I wish someone would dumb one down for the more simplistic hunters.

Mine should be here on Monday. I ordered the bridgelock AVX 41 with .019 ranger pin. This is the first sight to excite me in years. There’s a lot of nice sights out there but the weight of the driver impressed me the most.

Received my Driver on Friday......The small lock tab for the elevation wheel is harder to get to than you would think and I could see it being an issue if it was cold and hunting with gloves. The tab on the Mathews UV is a lot more user friendly. Elevation wheel is silky smooth but no different than the new UV. The windage adjustment knob on the inside is ridiculous (JMO) even though you don't change it often. They say it improves your sight picture and it does if your looking down the opposite side of the sight on the sight housing (the elevation wheel side). It's all personal preference but since the Mathews UV slider was readily available in 3 pin horizontal that's the route I took about 3 weeks ago and have been very happy with my choice.

I just got mine on Friday. First thing you notice is the weight, its crazy light. Huge difference from the Landslyde. Moves effortlessly with the wheel. Excellent machining. No short cuts taken, crisp adjustments. Heard some complain about windage knob placement, I think its fine, how often you moving it? Once sighted it, it's done, and out of what way, just the wheel on the side you need when hunting. Hands down one of the easiest designs to set the pins. Plus, they give you all the allen wrenches you need to make any adjustment you have to do.

I thought the Landslyde was amazing but Axcel has outdone themselves again. Best of all, Made in America from a company that gives a tremendous amount back to archery in the form of sponsoring archery events. The Summers family is always supporting our sport. Great job Axcel with The Driver!

One gripe I have or confusion is how did they choose the metal tapes to include?

Yes, all the screws are black. Might be part of weight savings too over stainless bolts. I'm sure they looked at bolt lengths, etc. and made sure everything they did helped in weight.
