bad eyesight and archery

I am having an issue with blurry pins. As you are getting near 50 and your eye sight changes due to your eyes lens aging you loose near vision, that's why we need "reading" glasses. If I shoot with reading glasses on the target is blurry. Bifocals are designed for this problem but I have not tried shooting with them yet.
One solution would be to go instinctive shooting, sacrifice accuracy at longer ranges. Extend the site out away from the bow farther. I have a Hogg it site and am planning to see if I can get a bracket to extend it out further. Kind of like holding that paper out from your face to read.

Maybe you could have someone hold a site pin in front of your bow with your arm extended in shooting position and move it back and forth for you to see if the pin will focus for you at a reasonable distance. Don't draw with someones hand there just for safety.
