Barebow aiming string alignment

I shoot 3 under with a hunting anchor ( pointer finger joint aligns with cheek bone, thumb joint aligns with jaw bone)
Anyway the issue I’m having is string alignment
I see the string blur but the string is black and the face of the bow is black so it just disappears to my eye and it’s very hard to see if not in a well lit room
I’m planning to buy a bright colored string soon but for now any advice?
Also what’s the BEST spot for the string to align with? Should the string be right behind the arrow? Between the sight window and arrow etc? Just Bisecting the bow? Etc

You need to align at a point that puts your arrow on the center line at all distances. That could be either edge or center of the riser, or even further out on the plunger. Edge of riser is precise and is a good choice if you can make it work.

I find that I can see my string really easily outdoors but it is a huge blur indoors. I tried a fluorescent string for awhile, but finally just settled on putting the center of mass of the blur on the center of the riser.

I don't shoot indoors any longer so it is not a problem.

There are many really good shooters that do not use string blur. They rely on repeatable alignment and body positioning to ensure the bow is oriented the same for each shot.

String alignment is common with Olympic style shooters. I was originally trained with Olympic style archers so that is what I picked up.

We all have different eyesight, draw length n shoot sequence, so my string shadow will be different than urs even shooting the exact same bow

My overdraw or underdraw wrong string shadow may be perfectly fine for u

There is no best position for string shadow, u just have to make sure everything form~wise is working for u, before finalizing the position for string shadow

Then be consistent with it

*I do not have a string shadow when shooting trad, as my anchor is back at the ear/jaw bow, my lips touching the feather at anchor is my reference.

When shooting target, my string shadow is at the right side edge of my scope
