Hello all! I have a Barnett Recruit compound bow. Tried shooting it yesterday for the first time in awhile. Made sure the bolt was seated on the string, but on firing it was as loud as a .22 going off and the bolt only went about 10 feet. Close look revealed one side of the string partially off the cam. Took the bow down and found both axles bent and one bushing in each cam cracked. I bought the bow used, so I am thinking someone dry fired it in the past, and this last shot finished it off. What I am having trouble with is finding the parts. Does anyone out there sell cams and shafts for crossbows? What I have seen so far is slim pickings.

Update for anyone in the same boat. Barnett replied back to my email. They will not send cams or axles to an individual, BUT, they will to a local bow shop. So, it would seem that the parts are out there, but controlled? I suppose its a liability thing...
