Has anyone looked at or shot the barta longbow? how is it and what others would compair to it in the $400.00 price range.

I havent shot it, but it looks exactly like a Martin Bushmaster (it looks so similar they may have used the old Bushmaster form with new materials) with black glass and a grey actionwood riser. If it is just a re-done Bushmaster, I'd put money on it being a sweet shooter.

I agree with Whitehair. The Barta Bow is the Martin Bushmaster brought back with black glass & laminated riser. It should be a great shooting bow.

The Barta Bow is actually a revision of the Shadow longbow, which was a "Plain Jane" version of the Bushmaster. Should be a good shooter, although I'm not real big on "signature series" products. I don't need Tred Barta or anyone else telling me what's good or bad.
