I’m hoping someone has some ideas or examples , I have the rear claws from my black bear. I was wanting to preserve them and possible incorporate them into my hunting room or half mount I’m getting done . I know you fill them with clear epoxy and can make a necklace, but does anyone have any other ideas ? Thanks !

I am in bear stand now, when i can i will upload u some pics of my claw necklace i make. Very inexpensive, but time consuming
U have to put them in norax and let them dry for a coiplenof weeks then pop off the black nail from the bone. Thats just the first part.
Enjoyed the hunting thread and congrats. Haven’t found much to do with them. What about a zipper pull for coat? Keychain??

I had these key chains made for my groomsmen last year. I think most of them hung them from their rear view mirrors.
Then the necklace was made for me as a wedding gift. Never thought I’d wear something like that, but it has it’s occasions where it makes and appearances. [emoji2375]

my taxidermist told me to keep them in a jar with water and change when it gets nasty. worked ok and took a few weeks. ive seen some necklaces made with wrapped wire like they do with shark teeth, this video is detailed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8aF0YijMCI
Personally, its a lot of work for just rear claws. Most only do the fronts, you can buy front claws. Personal preference
