Never a bear hunter or even seen one in the wild, do I have some questions for those with some experience.

I went to fill up a deer feeder with corn for the first time this year. It is on a hillside in about 1000 acres of wilderness type land. I found it knocked over and pushed off down the hill. Solar panel knocked off, spinner gone, but no permanent damage. legs fallen off and one scattered around a bit too. The area had a very obvious animal smell to it. Musky, sort of barnyard like. A large number of very dark, almost black, piles of what I took to be scat. The older ones with mushrooms sprouting in them like crazy. Property owner reportered a bear raiding his dog food on the front porch a month back. The feeder location is approx. 200 yards down the hill from his house on the summit.

Does this seem "bearie" to you, or nothing really? BTW, not nearly as much deer sign in the area as last year. :confused2:

all u need is bobmuley to come down and cow call the bear in for ya.......easy kill!!!
Sounds like there is more to this story than you are telling  .

I really wish the bear, if it is one, would get the heck out and quit bothering the deer. I might take a shot at him myself if I knew more about them.
