the other night a friend of mine was adjusting my peep.he was using a apple bow press.he set the press up wrong and bent my riser.a couple of days later we were at the club talking about it and we decided to try and straighten it.we took it apart and put the riser between two couches with wooden arms and began bending it back.it was bent at the shelf it seems to have worked.it is shooting straight out to 80yds no problems.real nice to have it back.im one happy shooter.

Jmo, but an Apple press is not suitable for a Mathews bow.
Not even the new model.
If I were your friend, I would absolutely buy you another riser.
That's why I use a Sure-Loc X-Press so I don't have to say I'm sorry. :thumbs_up

If you bend a riser (especially something like 6061-T6) and bent it back, it WILL be weaker because of it. Just keep a close eye on that area for any tiny stress cracks that could form over time.

Is a bent riser very noticeable most of the time? I have a apple press and worry about that alot, but don't know how to tell if the riser is bent or not. Is it usually obvious when it happens?

Thanks,
Ben
