Hey guys, looking for the best archery shop in Houston. I'm not interested in a target range. I'm more interested in the shop with the best bow technicians. I was not impressed with the last shop I went to. Who's the best in the area. I don't mind driving to the other side of town either.

I only know two main stores but neither supply all my product needs though one has nice indoor range. It's ashame for the forth largest city in the U.S. not to have better ....I guess a lot of archers depend on the internet these days. Google "Top Archery Shops in Houston Texas."

I personally use "Texas Archery" located at:
5833 Treaschwig Rd, Spring, TX 77373
...and only when I need them....I do most of my own work....
"West Houston Archery" does my technical work when needed...(jmo)

Its a real shame for the population that Houston has, and being in Texas that there are only 3 shops in the greater area.

I've been to all of them, for me West Houston Archery is closes so I go there if I need too, but if you go when it is busy expect to wait, they only have two sometimes three techs working.

Texas Archery has a very nice interior, and when I have been they have more techs than West Houston, but I have limited experience since it is so far from me.

X10 seemed to be more target oriented, their stock was pretty limited as well. I only went in once and havent been back.

Depending on where you live, Brush2Bay in Hallettsville or STX in Inez may be a better choice.

Hands down it's West Houston Archery for me, after using the others (or trying to) I will take ALL of my business to West Houston Archery. I do most of my own work as well and when I need help with something I need someone competent that is going to do it as well as it can be done. I don't need and won't settle for 'try that and see how it does', or getting a ration of xxxx about where I bought that bow instead of 'yeah I can order a string and cable set for you' or whatever. I have a portable press and yes I can change strings and cables but it is a huge PITA with my tools so I will pay to have it done if the shop is willing to take the money. I could go on and on, but I won't. Go see the guys at West Houston Archery when you need help. Kevin in particular is a super solid bow tech and who I want working on my bow.
