The best rest for stringwalking is absolutely a Zniper. Now I’m talking multi distance shooting as in field or 3d, the benefits really become apparent at medium to large crawls. Bumping the nock or very small crawls, pick what you like pretty much. Any quality rest will do the job.
Problem with a Gabriel is I’ve seen on slo-mo the wire bounce back up and contact. They are also sensitive to arrow weight depending on model. Someone else can speak to this better though. But still, no thanks.
Problem with AAE free flyte elites and zt’s are the wires are too stiff, yes I said that. Creates a big bounce.
The original AAE free flyte is much better but it still gets a bounce.
Contrary to popular belief, you want a soft wire for stringwalking. It absorbs the bounce and has less effect on things. There’s 2 things that you don’t want in a wire, you don’t want it to break and you don’t want it to stay bent. Other then that, you want as soft as you can find.
-Or get a Zniper and have zero bounce😁
