Samick Sage has been around and it's a sturdy workhorse that you can increase the weight of limbs for cheap as you get practice. It's clone the Southwest Spyder is fine and was my first.
Black Hunter Longbow/recurve and its clones are newer and popular - lot of trad guys like them. Again, cheap to get heavier limbs.
Another route is to get "cheap" an ILF setup where you can be upgrading limbs from lots of manufacturers and risers, all compatible. If you like to tinker, this might be the way to go.
Takedowns for beginners make sense b/c you'll want to start light enough to focus on form and then you'll want more weight if you plan to hunt.

They are pretty much all better than the shooter. Getting a bow to grow with is a theory that I don't see the logic in. It seems like false economy, given the low cost of these import bows. Every time you go up in draw weight, you need a different set of arrows and the tune of the bow. It makes more sense to have a setup at each draw weight ready to go. You will shoot the lower poundage bows more than you think, and they are good to have around for others to try. If you go to 3d shoots, you will find that very few of the good shooters compete with bows above the mid 30's in draw weight.

Before you jump into it, try to find a store that has trad bows so you can get a feel for it. Better yet, check to see if their is a club anywhere near you to visit. Some of those hotdogs will be all over a newbee.
Please don't hold to the idea of a bow being good enough or cheap enough.
