If I test my broadheads to see if they are sharp, it dulls them. I think the answer is to sharpen them, but what sharpener to use? I have looked at a "Tru Angle R-3" and Vision Quest's "Real Deal Sharpener". I really don't have a clue. Any suggestions? All I want is one that is simple, affordable, and hones the replaceable blades used on 3-blade muzzies and thunderheads to razor sharpness.

alota guys on here use the lansky sharpener on similer heads. i just use a oil stone, free handed. its the way i sharpen every thing, so im pretty good at it.
The little hand-helds work best for me, but they work best if you take the blades out to sharpen them. Less than $5 and takes a few seconds.
I have to ask, how in the world are you dulling broadheads by testing their sharpness? I think maybe you should find another way to test them.

The Smiths sharpener works like it was made for a muzzy. You can dull your blades all you want and get them back to razor sharp with very little effort.
