With all the different grunt calls on the market, which one is the best?

I still have and use the original MAD Buck Growl. Haven't tried any of the newer versions.

I also like the old HS True Talker grunt tube as well but the MAD is more compact and is more versatile, in my opinion.

There are some really nice customs calls out. I realy want to pick one up but for now I use an extinguisher. I really like that you can adjust the sound by sliding the adjuster on the side. No disassembly to move rubber bands up the reed. Never had it max out and go silent either.

When I was at F&S a met a rep who sent me one to try. It is the best I have used. I wish I could remember who makes it. It really is effective though and I can change the pitch with out moving the reed because the tube is so flexible.

I've used the flextone buck collector for years. Can make deep grunts or higher pitched grunts and also doe bleats all by applying more or less pressure to reed. Payed around $10 for it. Works great

Stinger Pro by wood haven custom calls ....funny that its plastic and can be bought anywhere off the shelf, nothing custom
about it ..but works the best for me, called in lots of mature bucks ..I even like it better then the old black true talker

Always had great luck with my original True Talker but I will probably buy a nice custom from Mike here. Going to call him tomorrow and ask about some of his calls.

I've had several bucks respond to a grunt tube over the years, but most come in curious or cautious.....looking for the other buck. Same with rattling......they get suspicious very quickly if they don't have visual confirmation of what they heard.....at least in heavily pressures west Michigan. Don't expect it to be like an informercial on a TV hunting show, where you use their product and big bucks pour of of the brush like magic.....that is BS. If your set up in the right spot and ready to shoot, attractants can be of help....but nothing works every time and can sometimes push deer away.
