I would use a one piece head milled from a billet of forged steel, no aluminum, flimsey replaceable blades, pins, screws or rubber bands. Hardened to 50 or more Rc, VPA at $ 43/3 or Bishop at 125/3 fit that bill.
I took my spring bear with the 125 gr G5 Stryker Magnum. No real blood trail to speak of, but I did hit it a little high and farther back than I would have preferred. Still did the job and the bear was recovered, went about 80 yards.
