Just getting back into archery after 12 years. I’m noticing a lot of new fletching jigs. What’s recommend ?

There’s a dude scalping one on eBay right now lol. Made me kinda mad when I seen it because this was the week I finally bought a jig and would have bought the Omp if anyone had them in stock. I was watching mfjjs video on it dang near live when he said he had em in stock but they were gone by the time I clicked. I bought a blitz.

Been using Bitz's since 1968 & at one time top 10 for Easton in arrow distributor's & had 5 tables with 60 Bitz's per table,
oldest & best fletcher made.

Just put a down payment on a lift. I cant decide if i want first lite specter or earth fade to black. What do y'all think the best choice is?
The cost to features ratio of the bitz is hard to beat.

Consider an upgraded nock receiver. AAE makes a really nice one.

I've used the Bitz which is solid and has proven the test of time. No experience with the OMP, but it looks well thought out and is the new kid on the block. I've also used the E-Z fletch type of jigs, which are rather quick (3 vanes at once instead of doing one at a time), but don't allow for much adjustment - unless you purchase multiple jigs. I'm currently using the LCA VMP, which I like, I find it easier/quicker adjusting for different sized arrows and any degree of helical (between 1-5) than I can do on the Bitz. The plus, you have a few options to select.

Bitz is kind of hard to beat. I bought the Zenith Kit just in case I latch onto a Bitz.

I've had several Bitz jigs, but sold them because I didn't where they did any better fletching than what I already have - 40+ year old Multi Jo-Jan (does 6 at a time - I've got 4 of them and 40+ year old stand alone Martin (high impact plastic).

Don't buy into the "built like a tank." Long as you don't use the plastic or light weight aluminum jigs to drive nails or breakup concrete they last forever.

There's been a lot of talk about the OMP, but they seemed to back ordered everywhere.

For the price, $100.00, the Avalon Hexagon does 6 at time, only straightclamp available - so right or left offset - not helical.

The VMP. Do you really want to spend $350.00 for a fletching jig that doesn't do any better than a less expensive one? It does one arrow, one vane at a time - 3 or 4 fletch.

A lot of tower type fletching jigs to look over - they all do 3 vanes at once. With quick setting glue you can do a lot of arrows quick.

Fact is, 99.9% of the time most all fletching problems are due to the operator........

Just about any topic on AT is going to run the spectrum....as can be seen here. Some like low cost, others gravitate to the expensive end as the "best". I bought a Bitzenberger in 1977 and still have it today....same straight and RH helical clamps too. It has done everything I asked of it, simply by learning the setup techniques and most effective adhesives for the shaft/fletch combo. No "upgrade" of the nock receiver either. 🤷‍♂️

My Bitz does everything that I need it to do it it's factory configuration. I do not see why I need to upgrade anything. If I need to refletch one single vane, I just turn the nock until the arrow is lined up with the fletching jig. I also make sure the socket head adjustment screw put the correct amount of tension on the knob so it locks in place but can still turn easy.
