I’ve been looking into wrapping the clutch grip on my revolt X. I have heard great things about bowmar grip tape but refuse to spend my $ on any of their products. I’ll have to give this a try. Thanks for posting! 👍🏻

 

then go to a hockey shop and buy the stuff he copied, lizard skin grip tape

 

BTW this stuff works great for wrapping releases too, helps with cold and/or releases slipping when wet.

 

I've been looking to try a wrap and just haven't gotten around to it. Considered tennis grip tape, lizard skins etc. But we just got a hazard fraught in our town and this looks like it might be just what I need.

Yep, great stuff! The name for the stuff is officially Self-Vulcanizing insulating tape and it's covered many handles, cleaned up many wiring harnesses, fixed nicked wire, and found it's way onto many other ******* engineering jobs. Never tried it on a bow grip, but 100% see how it would do a nice job.

 

That's a nice tidy looking job on the wrap.

 

Tractor Supply Horse Leg Wrap....several different colors. Sticks to itself, no goop, no mess...easy on, easy off. Less than $3.00 a roll with enough on a roll to do maybe 10 bow grips.

 

Thanks, I've tried that, and I personally prefer something that doesn't absorb moisture. I've tried all the different things people wrap grips with and for me I've settled on this as my absolute favorite. I'm not a target archer at all, so I look for things that meet certain criteria to make my bow fit my needs for my hunting style and what I believe I need and/or is important to me in the woods. That's the beauty of archery it's not a one size fits all as some folks try to make it.

Lizard skin from Walmart

 

Exactly what I was looking for! I just tried lizard skin, but it’s not that great and it didn’t want to conform well up near the shelf. Definitely going to try this stuff next.

 

This looks awesome I was going to try some Easton baseball bat tape but this seems better.

 

Just picked some up today after work. Tore off the lizard skin and put it on and this stuff is great! Much better than lizard skin. Easily stretches to conform to the shape of the handle. And it’s way cheaper, plenty on the roll to do several handles or redos if/when required or desired.

Lizard Skin is the worst I've tried. Bowmar is a little better but I much prefer Gama tennis grip or Head tennis grip.

I may have to try this tape that OP posted. Looks really clean.
